Longboat - Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship

Longboat believes we are quickly moving out of the realm of unitisation and the proliferation of pre-built buildings. We stand for creating buildings that clearly display the architect’s touch. The longboat buyer is someone who wants more than machine made buildings and appreciates creativity, craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Craftsmanship can be seen in many details and employing creative craft techniques does not mean making the development more expensive. It’s about being intelligent with details and being ever more present to the importance of creating beautiful and thoughtful vignettes. Seeing the touch of a human hand in a building greatly enhances its soul.

Longboat - Craftsmanship

UNIQUE

Longboat is never in a rush to develop, every project is informed by location, natural assets and community. Therefore, while our underlying principles will always be steadfast, our projects are one off and unique. We don’t seek to develop in any particular suburb of Melbourne, nor do we have any pressure to develop in volume. For us it’s all about waiting for the right sites and designing and building in ways that enhance these sites.

The take home message for our potential residents is that if you see a longboat development you love, it’s best not to wait. It definitely will not be replicated.
